「不當黨產處理委員會」的英文是Ill-gotten Party Assets Settlement Committee，簡稱喜帕斯（#CIPAS）。黨產會的成立是要管理（在民國76年7月15日以前成立的）政黨、附隨組織及其受託管理人不當取得財產之調查、返還、追徵等相關工作。
