救國團現在逐漸轉型為專營休閒育樂的營利事業，但最初因為負責國民黨青年組織工作，獲得了民間企業無法取得的資源以及合作管道，仍為其帶來不小的競爭優勢，用國家資源補助經營青年育樂中心和山莊：
